At the end of the 1990s, the dilapidated and unsuitable nature of immigrant homes led their donors and the State to adopt a genuine national program for the rehabilitation and reconsideration of these homes which have since become real places of life. In parallel with the transformation of these homes, which constitutes a real human, social and technical challenge, the legalization of their kitchens was also discussed. These last evolving in the informal sector, are carried out without respect for any health and safety standards, with precarious working conditions and giving free rein to various abuses. However,

It is within this framework of the transformation of the homes of migrant workers into a social residence that that of Ivry-Sur-Seine was demolished and rebuilt into a social residence by integrating the design of a social restaurant. And COALLIA, ex-AFTAM lessor of the said social residence has launched a call for tenders for the management of the restaurant of the residence in the form of an ACI. This experience has already been successfully carried out in other territories. Later it is the association Afrique Et espoirs led by Ms. M’BODJI which will be chosen to manage the social restaurant, the Baobab, whose activity has been labeled in the same order of ideas Workshop and Integration Worksite .
