My name is Amanda and I lost 20 pounds in 9 months on the ketogenic diet.

From an early age, I developed a strong passion for cooking and food of all kinds.

A victim of my yoyo weight, I have tried many diets and most have either not worked or were not suitable for the long term.

In May 2019, I learned about the keto diet through a friend.

I quickly found a balance in my life with the keto diet. This new way of eating that combines my passion for cooking with healthy weight loss.

I was certified in nutrition in January 2020 and am doing a personal trainer training.

My story
To be honest, I was never extremely overweight, during my teenage years I juggled between being normal and overweight, based on BMI (body mass index).

I’m not the tallest or the smallest person in fact, I’m 161cm tall and every time I put on a kilo I thought everyone could see it my best friend Lora would call me the yoyo. I never really cared about my weight.

I have a great passion for cooking and baking. I love to cook and create recipes. In the past, I didn’t measure anything and I prepared good recipes. My passion for cooking is limitless, I do not discriminate against any cuisine and I love all flavors.

During and after my pregnancy, I gained a lot of weight. My cholesterol was at the highest level and I was starting to have liver problems. I no longer recognized myself in the mirror.

An acquaintance told me about the keto diet. I was a little puzzled to eat more fat considering my health condition but I thought after trying everything, why not give the keto diet a try?

It was the best decision I could make for my physical and mental health. My cholesterol is now at a normal level, I feel better about myself after losing a lot of weight, and I created Keto4lesskilos.

The story continues, my mission is to make as many people as possible aware of sugar and its damage to our health. Offer gourmet and multicultural keto recipes.
