My passion for natural hair was first passed on to me by my grandmother … That’s the real story, the real beginning. A loving and caring woman, my grandmother raised me from my earliest childhood until I was 12 years old.

It is thanks to her that I have always been kept away from cosmetics with compositions derived from petrochemicals. She made me discover the benefits of natural products such as shea butter, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil or even this traditional West Indian recipe for hibiscus infusion…. So many ingredients, each as virtuous as the next.
She always uplifted me with the idea that my hair was a lovely gift from nature, and that it was beautiful! One of the essential rules to respect at home was not to relax before turning 18, to be fully aware of what you are doing.
Without realizing it, she transmitted my destiny to me! Passion and cute sin
I have always been greedy. Growing up, I developed a passion for cooking generous and warm dishes. However, sweet and colorful desserts have always been my preference.
Pastry making is the best way for me to give way to my creativity, but I had to find a less caloric passion … I therefore naturally went to cold soap, where the colors, the smells, very quickly led to Homemade cosmetics. Mission and transmission
But let’s talk little talk … Let’s get back to the hair!
At just 21 years old, I realized that like me, few young Afro-Caribbean women, knew how to take care of their natural hair, the codes of current society, encouraged more to fit into the mold of the smooth, rather than enhance the pretty curly texture, curly, frizzy in the wind. At the time, the hair cosmetics market for Afro hair was very limited.
This is why I took the initiative to make it a real topic of discussion by creating the 1st French-speaking forum dedicated to frizzy, curly, frizzy hair and their natural maintenance.
Very quickly, we were 15,000 women united with the same questions and hair problems, we tackled all aspects, from care, cosmetics and the needs of hair to textures.
I learned to decipher the composition of products, and no longer fall into the traps of the cosmetics industry. I also learned to make my own Handmade cosmetics at that time, when Aromazone did not yet exist, we had to get our raw materials from Canadian, English or American sites to make our treasures…!
