Muriel Berradia , a woman of Indian origin, despite her passion and her knowledge of cosmetics, has never found the quality, effective and safe skincare products she demanded for the very specific needs of her dark skin .

Jocelyn Bariteau , chemist, formulator, creative, has a dream, to express his talents in the formulation of cosmetic products which give priority to the choice and the concentration of active ingredients to ensure real effectiveness, high quality and optimal safety.

Driven by their convictions, their determinations and wills, sharing the same values, they combine their complementary expertise and create Nuhanciam, cosmetic excellence for dark to dark skin which was born in January 2011.

Journey of the creators of Nuhanciam

Passionate and determined, Muriel Berradia joined the world of cosmetics in 1986. Twelve years at Nina Ricci Parfums, three at Carven, five at Caudalie, as many years and companies of various sizes and challenges where she learns, looks, gains expertise and autonomy.

In 2008, driven by her convictions and her entrepreneurial spirit, she took the plunge, left the salaried position and invested all her savings so that her project, her company, Nuhanciam was born. Bet won in January 2011, Nuhanciam is listed in the first pharmacies and concept stores dedicated to the beauty of multicultural women. Less than a year later, she received the Force Femmes 2011 competition prize, dedicated to exceptional women, which rewards the relevance, passion and entrepreneurial power of their project. In 2013 she was rewarded by the ACTION ELLES Association for the “Ambition de Croissance prize”.

Is it his passion for cooking and the artistic world that brought Jocelyn Bariteauto become a chemist and specialize in the formulation of cosmetic products? Since 1994, in formulation laboratories or in integrated laboratories for cosmetic brands, Jocelyn has been developing skincare product lines. He works for prestigious brands including Bourjois-Chanel, Caudalie – where he will meet Muriel -, Delarom.

The main talents of Jocelyn? Combine creativity, intransigence in terms of efficiency and safety, love of beautiful textures. In 2010, he decided to dedicate them to a single brand, Nuhanciam. And, since 2011, when Nuhanciam was put on the market, the brand’s “aficionados” have thanked him and asked for more!
